The Howick-Pakuranga Chess Club’s terms and conditions for members, and the terms for using this website.
Club terms and conditions
- Arrive early to help set up.
- No running.
- Speak quietly.
- Do not interfere with another player’s game.
- Listen. Do not talk to each other during announcements.
- Parents and members arriving at 5:50pm help set up the club, and with anything else we might need help with.
- Members arriving for the 7:15pm session help by setting clocks, putting all chess equipment away and checking for pieces on the floor.
- Members in the 7:15pm session must put the chairs and tables back into place and check the clubrooms are tidy before they leave.
- All children under the age of 14 MUST be supervised by their parent at the club. Duty of care stays with you as the parent, or by prior arrangement with another parent who has agreed to be responsible for your child.
- Payment must be made in order to be registered.
- Membership subscription fees are not refundable or transferable.
Using this website
Information on this site
We keep dates, results and fees accurate, but the club’s volunteers can make mistakes. Official draws, standings and crosstables are published on VegaResults and the NZCF website, which take precedence over summaries here.
Membership and payments
Online payments are processed by Stripe on its secure hosted checkout. Membership subscription fees are not refundable or transferable if you change your mind. Our volunteers will be unable to process or transfer your request.
